Let me introduce myself. I am a licensed clinical psychologist certified in cognitive-behavioral therapy with an extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, child and adolescent difficulties and personality disorders. I help individuals cope effectively with chronic medical illness, insomnia and pain. In addition, I have published research articles and was an invited speaker at a number of national and international venues.
I believe that effective treatment is accomplished as a collaboration between the client and the therapist. My focus is on helping you reach your goals as rapidly and directly as possible using a wide variety of techniques, tailored specifically for you. In treatment you will learn specific tools and skills that will help you to feel better and overcome your difficulties. Therapy sessions are active and focused primarily on the here-and-now. I use scientifically supported interventions while maintaining a pragmatic and flexible approach focused on your particular problems.
